The City of Norwich Brass Band was formed in 2014 by local musicians from across Norfolk and Suffolk who came together to have fun and make music. The are now under the musical direction of Mark Ager.
Rehearsals are at the Village Hall in Hethersett on Tuesdays from 8.00 p.m.

Awards
On Saturday March 19 2022 the band became the Second Section Regional Champions of the London & Southern Counties Section. The Regional Contest had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021 as a result of restrictions attempting to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Sunday 16th September 2018 the band competed in the Third Section of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in Cheltenham, having won the Regional competition earlier in the year. In our first National Finals in the Third Section we came tenth out of the eighteen bands competing.
On Saturday 16th September 2017 the band competed in the Fourth section of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in Cheltenham. We are proud to have achieved second place in a field of 20 bands who qualified from their regions. As a result we will compete in the Third section in 2018.
This builds on our 2015 achievements when we were London & Southern Counties Fourth Section Regional Champions and placed 5th in the National Championships.
